Thresholds” is an evolving series of sculptures that include a human figure on the brink of a transition. The upright wooden panels, configured to look arch like embrace a glass bevel representing the barriers we place between ourselves and our dreams. We can see our dreams, but can we embrace them? As we stand upon the threshold, life moves on.

Sophie” is a young woman, thriving in high school, approaching 16, and using music to create community. In thinking about her position in life, the Haiku attempts to support her efforts, acknowledging that she is in the spring of life and like a concerto, life is a solo performance supported by the orchestra of family, friends and community

Some time ago, I started a series of figures to explore off center turning. The characters each had their own backstories but lacked a platform to express their status in life. As I was going through some glass supplies I rediscovered some beautiful agates and the notion of doorways and dreaming took root.

Egg Moon

Egg Moon, is the 7th sculpture in my Full Moon series inspired by the indigenous names given to the full moon.

I have almost finished listening to Robin Wall Kimmerer reading her book “Braiding Sweetgrass”. Her ability to weave botany, and indigenous story telling together to reveal and explain the reciprocity of the natural world has been liberating for me.
While I started this piece well before the book, I believe it to be have come from the same source of respect and wonder at the natural world that is powered by our sun.

Egg Moon, is the 7th sculpture in my Full Moon series inspired by the indigenous names given to the full moon. It captures the spirit of rebirth that fills the air in springtime.
